چکیده

This paper presents the development and experimentations of transparent vibrating piezoelectric micromembranes dedicated to protecting immersed measurement instruments from marine biofouling. As any surface is subject adhesion settlement organisms, especially in seawater, materials quickly become opaque, resulting deteriorated accuracy for optical sensors. According this, we developed a membrane promote biofouling detachment order reduce data quality drift frequency maintenance operations on deployed In first part, design, materials, steps manufacture demonstrators are described. Then, electromechanical characterizations carried out interpreted with support FEM simulations. The last part describes laboratory bioassays field immersion tests. Laboratory assess antifouling potential membranes by exposing their suspended bacterial solution. situ assays allow perform Mediterranean Sea effectiveness real conditions. showed great against solution, while tests confirmed effect micromembrane. Nevertheless, revealed troubles piezo driver actuating membranes, should be again an improved reveal full membranes. These set up efficient system

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Transparent antifouling material for improved operative field visibility in endoscopy.

Camera-guided instruments, such as endoscopes, have become an essential component of contemporary medicine. The 15-20 million endoscopies performed every year in the United States alone demonstrate the tremendous impact of this technology. However, doctors heavily rely on the visual feedback provided by the endoscope camera, which is routinely compromised when body fluids and fogging occlude th...
